To comply with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary and expedient to install traffic control
signs on two county roads.

ORDINANCE NO. 2007-065
REGARDING INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS
ON VARIOUS ROADS
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary
and expedient to install traffic control signs on certain County Roads; and
WHEREAS, it was found that due to increasing traffic volume the intersection of
Halverstick and Northwood Roads should be fitted with additional stop signs to help control
the traffic;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the
following be added to the Whatcom County Code Section 10. 18.070 as follows:
10.16.1635 Generally.

Halverstick Rd Westbound Northwood Rd
All of the above stop sign locations are located in township 40, range 3 east, section 3.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install
the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff be notified of the same by
providing him with a copy of this ordinance.
