To comply with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.114, it is found necessary and expedient to install temporary
traffic control signs on Mosquito Lake Road.

6 AN ORDINANCE REGARDING TEMPORARY INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS
7 ON MOSQUITO LAKE ROAD AT BOTH ENDS OF THE
8 WELCOME BRIDGE #332

10 WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found
11 necessary and expedient to install traffic control signs on certain County Roads; and
12
13 WHEREAS, the Welcome Bridge on Mosquito Lake Road recently had a load
14 rating inspection and it was determined that weight restrictions are necessary; and
15
16 WHEREAS, stop control at each end of the bridge will allow the bridge to meet
17 the weight restriction requirements and allow the least amount of inconvenience to
18 traffic; and
19
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
21 stop signs be installed on Mosquito Lake Road at both ends of the Welcome Bridge
22 #332, Section 27, Township 39 North, Range 5 East, W.M.

24 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that when the repairs to the Welcome Bridge #332
25 are completed, the stop signs will be removed.

27 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to
28 install the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff be notified by a copy
29 of this ordinance.
