RESOLUTION NO. 2008 -071
AMENDING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 904002 AND AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL FUNDS
FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR "HANNEGAN ROAD / SR544 (Pole Road)
SIGNALIZATION PROJECT."
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted 2008 Annual Construction Program as
Item No. 1;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP 904002 is formally amended to include the construction of the Hannegan/SR544
(Pole Road) Signalization Project.
The Contract for this project is awarded to Strider Construction Company, Inc. in the
amount of their bid of $2,418,234.01.
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget and based on the County
Road Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:

Preliminary Engineering $ 500,000
Right -of -Way $1,600,000
Subtotal $2,100,000
Construction Contract $2,418,234
