SUMMARY STATEMENT OR LEGAL NOTICE LANGUAGE: (If this item is an ordinance or requires a public

The attached list of equipment has been determined to be surplus and available for disposal by public auction .
The Council may find by resolution , following a public hearing that it is in the public interest to declare the
property surplus and make said property available to sell by public auction .

RESOLUTION NO. 2009 - 072
A RESOLUTION IN THE MATTER OF THE
SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
AND THE SETTING OF A DATE FOR PUBLIC
HEARING THEREON PURSUANT TO WCC 1 . 10
WHEREAS , the following described property listed in Exhibit "A" , hereby incorporated by
reference , is now and has been the property of Whatcom County; and
WHEREAS , the County Purchasing Agent has determined that it is in the best interest of the
County to sell such property;
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that a public hearing
on the matter of the sale of such property be held on the January 12 , 2010 at or as soon
thereafter as is possible, in the Whatcom County Council Chambers at 311 Grand Avenue,
Bellingham , Washington , for the purpose of admitting testimony for and against the propriety of
selling such equipment; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County Council is directed to give notice of
such hearing in the manner prescribed by law.
