Supplemental #13 requests funding from the General Fund:
(1) To appropriate $350, 535 in the Health Department to fund H1N1 activities from grant funding including
vaccinations, health officer increase to full time, extra help and overtime
(2) To appropriate $218, 564 in the Sheriff's Office to fund various grant funded activities including less lethal
equipment training, body armor, Battelle contract expenditures, off-duty overtime contracts, Drug Task Force
activities, and 2010 Olympics First Responder training.
From the Public Utilities Improvement Fund:
(3) To appropriate $25, 000 for additional Northwest Economic Council funding.

ORDINANCE NO . 2009 - 083
AMENDMENT NO . 13 OF THE 2009 BUDGET
WHEREAS , the 2009-2010 budget was adopted November 25 , 2008 ; and ,
WHEREAS , changing circumstances require modifications to the approved 2009-2010
budget; and ,
WHEREAS , the modifications to the budget have been assembled here for deliberation by
the Whatcom County Council .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the 2009-
2010 Whatcom County Budget Ordinance #2008-053 is hereby amended by adding the
following additional amounts to the budgets included therein :
