This is a request to decrease the petty cash account for WC Public Works Engineering Services by $200. 00 for a
total petty cash account of $ 100.00.

10 AN ORDINANCE IN THE MATTER OF DECREASING
11 THE ENGINEERING SERVICES PETTY CASH REVOLVING FUND FROM $300 . 00 TO $ 100 . 00

13 WHEREAS , the Northwest Annex Permit Center operates with one cashier to handle
14 transactions for both Engineering Services and Planning & Development Services , it is necessary for
15 the Northwest Annex Engineering Services Office to reduce the amount held in a petty cash fund , and
16
17 WHEREAS a petty cash fund for the Northwest Annex Engineer's Office was established by
18 resolution on September 22 , 1961 , and increased to $ 100 . 00 by Resolution #E-78-35 on July 26 , 1978 ,
19 and increased to $200. 00 by Resolution #80-76 on December 1 8 , 1980 , and increased to $300 . 00 by
20 Ordinance 2007-039 on July 24, 2007, and

22 WHEREAS , the amount now available is more than necessary to provide for occasional office
23 purchases in said office ,

25 NOW THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED that the amount of the petty cash fund for the
26 Northwest Annex Engineer's Office be reduced to $ 100 . 00 ; and
27
28 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that $200. 00 be delivered to the Whatcom County Treasurer's
29 Office anci ,4pposited to the Road Fund .
