To comply with RCW 46. 61. 415, it is found necessary and expedient to modify speed limit on a portion of
Vista Drive.

7 AN ORDINANCE REGARDING ESTABLISHMENT OF SPEED LIMITS
8 ON CERTAIN COUNTY ROADS

10 WHEREAS , the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46 . 61 . 415 to
11 establish speed limits on certain County roads ; and
12 .
13 WHEREAS , a traffic study was conducted by the County Engineer' s office ; and
14
15 WHEREAS, the County Road Engineer has determined that it is necessary to formally
16 establish a new speed limit on Vista Drive ; and
17
18 NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED that a speed limit be set and posted at 35
19 miles per hour at the following location:

21 On Vista Drive , from the intersection of Aldergrove Road to the
22 intersection with Grandview Road also know as Washington State Route
23 548 .

25 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to post the
26 appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff and the Washington State Patrol be
27 notified by a copy of this ordinance .

29 Provisions of this ordinance are hereby added to Whatcom County Code , Section
30 10 . 04 . 050 and hereby amend Whatcom County Code 10 . 04 . 050 .
