8 APPROVING A REQUEST BY THE EVERGREEN
9 WATER- SEWER DISTRICT BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
10 TO CHANGE ITS NAME TO COLUMBIA VALLEY WATER DISTRICT

12 WHEREAS , on June 24 , 2010 , the Evergreen Water- Sewer District Board of
13 Commissioners approved a resolution to change its name to the Columbia Valley
14 Water District ; and
15
16 WHEREAS , pursuant to RCW 57 . 04 . 065 , the Evergreen Water- Sewer District
17 may apply to change its name by filing a certified copy of an approved resolution of
18 the District's Board of Commissioners with the county legislative authority ; and
19 .
20 WHEREAS , on October 25 , 2010 , the Evergreen Water- Sewer District filed
21 the required resolution with the Whatcom County Council Office , thus meeting the
22 requirements of state law .

24 NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County Council
25 hereby approves the name change from Evergreen Water- Sewer District to
26 Columbia Valley Water District .

28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon signing of this resolution , all
29 proceedings for the District shall be conducted under the new name .

31 BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that all existing obligations and contracts of the
32 district e `tgrch }nito under its former name shall remain outstanding without change
