The Property Management Committee has determined that it is in the County's best interest to sell property acquired by seizure, pursuant to
Whatcom County Code 1 . 10. The parcel # is 390336 238483 0000.

RESOLUTION NO . 2010-028
RESOLUTION TO SELL COUNTY OWNED REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS , on July 20 , 2010 the County received the property described in Exhibit "A" in
a drug forfeiture ; and , .
WHEREAS , on July 27 , 2010 the Property Management Committee met and declared the
property surplus , recommending that the property be sold through a listing with a licensed
realtor; and ,
WHEREAS , the County is owed $ 18 , 744 . 70 in back taxes and fees on said property ; and ,
WHEREAS , it is in the best interest of the citizens of Whatcom County to sell the
property with a licensed realtor; and ,
WHEREAS, notice of the hearing was published in the Bellingham Herald on Saturday,
July 31 , 2010 and August 7 , 2010 .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that :
On August 10 , 2010 a public hearing was held ; and after taking testimony from the
public the Whatcom County Council finds that it is in the best interest of the County that the
property described in Exhibit "A" shall be listed for sale with a licensed realtor.
Upon the sale , the County shall be reimbursed for its delinquent taxes and costs in the
amount of $ 18 , 744 . 70 and the remainder of the proceeds shall go into the Drug Fund per RCW
and shall be disbursed in accordance with the Task Force Policies .
