Amend 2010 Annual Construction Program to create two new projects titled "Smith Rd, Everson-Goshen Structural Rehabilitation " and "Slater Rd, Hannegan Rd Structural Rehabilitation " and provide each with $1, 01 5, 000 for design and construction. These projects will only be undertaken if expected Federal Stimulus Grant Funding of $1, 000,000 for each project is obtained. Res . 2010- 013 • Related County Contract #: Related File Numbers: Ordinance or Resolution Number: Res . 2010-013 Please Note: Once adopted and signed, ordinances and resolutions are available for viewing and printing on the County 's website at: www. co. whatcom. wa. us/council. • 1 2 SPONSORED BY: Consent _ _ _ _ 3 PROPOSED BY: Public Works 4 INTRODUCTION DATE: 3 / 30 / 2010 5 RESOLUTION NO. 2010-013 6 7 AMENDING THE WHATCOM COUNTY 8 2010 ANNUAL ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM 9 10 WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 36. 81 . 130, the Whatcom County Engineer did file with 11 the Whatcom County Council, a recommended plan for laying out, construction, maintenance 12 and special maintenance of County roads for the fiscal year of 2010; and 13 14 WHEREAS , the Whatcom County Council held a public meeting on the 27th day of 15 October, 2009, and adopted the 2010 Annual Construction Program, Resolution 2009-068 ; and 16 17 WHEREAS, actions during 2010 are proposed to move forward to perform structural 18 rehabilitation of portions of Smith Road, Everson-Goshen Road; and 19 20 WHEREAS, an amendment to the 2010 Annual Construction Program is required in 21 order to proceed with such actions. 22 23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Whatcom County 2010 Annual 24 Construction Program is hereby amended as follows : 25 26 Add project item number #35 - "Smith Road, Everson-Goshen Road Structural 27 Rehabilitation" to the 2010 Annual Construction Program showing $ 15 ,000 in preliminary 28 engineering and $ 1 ,000,000 in construction. 29 30 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that no changes be made in the program without the 31 unanimous vote of the Whatcom County Council. 32 33 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is directed to prepare 34 the appropriate forms for the Amended 2010 Annual Construction Program and file a copy of 35 the same with the County Road Administration Board and the State Secretary of 36 Transportation. 37 ,`�� � t � iitini� 38 ``\���, PIO ,ihis 13th day of April , 2010. 40 • ` ' H A TC; .y , c .
