Locust Avenue.

6 AMENDING PARKING RESTRICTION
7 ON LOCUST AVENUE

10 WHEREAS , the Whatcom County Council is authorized under RCW 46 . 61 . 570 to
11 restrict parking on certain County roads ; and
12
13 WHEREAS , the Whatcom County Sheriff' s Office and County Council requested
14 Public Works to define an additional no parking zone that could be enforced at night on Locust
15 Avenue ;

17 NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
18 Whatcom County Code 10 . 24 . 230 be amended by adding the following language :

20 A . A " No Parking Any Time " zone is established on Locust Avenue on the northwest
21 side of the road from the railroad tracks to Marine Drive and on the southeast side from the
22 railroad tracks for 150 feet . (Ord . 2010-031 ) .
23 B . A zone is established in which no parking from dusk to dawn is allowed on the
24 southeast side of the road on Locust Avenue from Marine Drive to a point 150 feet from the
25 railroad tracks .

27 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install
28 the appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff be notified by providing him a
29 copy of this ordinance .
