Supplemental #10 requests funding from the General Fund:
1. To correct accounting for $670, 000 interfund loan for Assessor Treasurer system. The actual loan will be
$550, 000; however, according to generally accepted accounting principles, the loan should not be
presented as interfund revenue. This item also includes a request to move the accounting for the Civic
Center improvements from the General Fund to Real Estate Excise Tax Fund I (a capital projects
fund) ($1, 097,565).
2. To appropriate $5,818 in Parks to fund Nesset Caretaker position 2010.
3. To appropriate $2, 645 in Parks to fund extra help at Fragrance Garden.
4. To appropriate $6, 777 in Parks to fund FEMA funded Hertz trail repairs.
From the Emergency Management Fund:.
5. To appropriate $62, 000 to fund DHS Interoperable Emergency Communications Grant Program FFY09.
From the Real Estate Excise Fund I
6. To re-appropriate $1,182, 025 to fund the Civic Center remodel project

AMENDMENT NO . 10 OF THE 2010 BUDGET
WHEREAS ,. the 2009-2010 budget was adopted November 25 , 2008 ; and ,
WHEREAS , changing circumstances require modifications to the approved 2009-2010
budget; and ,
WHEREAS , the modifications to the budget have been assembled here for deliberation by
the Whatcom County Council .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the 2009-
2010 Whatcom County Budget Ordinance #2008-053 is hereby amended by adding the
following additional amounts to the budgets included therein :
