This ordinance will establish the Lincoln Road Construction Fund for the reconstruction of roadway from
Shintaffer Road to Harborview Road to include 12-foot lanes, 8 -foot shoulders, storm sewers, stormwater
treatment swales, and left turn lanes on Lincoln Rd. and Harborview Rd.

12 ESTABLISHING A LINCOLN ROAD CONSTRUCTION FUND

16 WHEREAS , Whatcom County Public Works will be reconstructing Lincoln Rd ( Phase I) from
17 Shintaffer Rd . to Harborview Road to include 12-foot lanes, 8-foot shoulders, storm sewers, stormwater
18 treatment swales, and left turn lanes on Lincoln Rd . and Harborview Rd . ; and

20 WHEREAS, RAP grant funding for this project is approximately $ 2 . 4 million and Road
21 Funds are available to contribute $ 1 . 5 million to complete this project ;

23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that a new
24 fund is hereby established , effective May 27 , . 2010 titled " Lincoln Road
25 Construction Fund " . This fund shall be used to account for the costs and revenues for the
26 construction of said portion of Lincoln Road .
