Project Budget Request #1 requests funding from Real Estate Excise Tax Fund II:
(1) To reappropriate $519, 778 to fund Lily Point park development project from grant proceeds.
(2) To reappropriate $489,475 to fund Hovander Maintenance Complex project.
(3) To reappropriate $150,000 to fund Hovander — Tennant Lake Playground/Day Use project
(4) To appropriate $100, 000 to fund Bay Horizon Park Playground project
(5) To appropriate $205, 000 to fund Silver Lake Lodge Improvements project

ORDINANCE NO . 2010-013
PROJECT BUDGET AMENDMENT NO. 1OF THE 2010 BUDGET
WHEREAS , the 2009-2010 budget was adopted November 25 , 2008 ; and ,
WHEREAS , changing circumstances require modifications to the approved 2009-2010
budget; and ,
WHEREAS, Section 6 . 80 of the Whatcom County Home Rule Charter allows for project-
based capital budget appropriation ordinances that lapse when the project has been completed
or abandoned or when no expenditure or encumbrance has been made for three (3 ) years , and ,
WHEREAS, the modifications to the budget have been assembled here for deliberation by
the Whatcom County Council .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the 2009-
2010 Whatcom County Budget Ordinance #2008-053 is hereby amended by adding the
following additional amounts to the budgets included therein :
