At its meeting
of July 13,
2011, the Whatcom
County Districting
Committee voted
unanimously to
adopt a new Districting Plan for
Whatcom County
(attached).
In the past, the Auditor's Office has taken the lead in preparing the ordinance that
formally revises the district boundaries for Whatcom County. Last week I asked the
Assessor's Office to prepare legal descriptions for the new boundaries and I am
happy to prepare the ordinance if that works best for your office - I know this is a
very busy time for you and your staff. If you prefer to have the ordinance originate
from the Auditor's Office, that works for me, also.
Please let me know at your earliest convenience how you would like to proceed.
Thank you.
