RESOLUTION NO . 2012-026
AUTHORIZING FUNDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR "FERRY APRON
RESURFACING."
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted "2012 Annual Construction Program"
as Item No. 22;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that CRP No. 912004 is
formally amended to include the resurfacing of the ferry dock aprons at Gooseberry Point and on
Lummi Island. The Contract for this project is awarded to Western Industrial Inc. in the amount of
their bid of $40,000.00
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget and based on the County Engineer's
estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:
PURPOSE AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION
Preliminary Engineering $ 2,000
Right-of-Way $ 0
Subtotal $ 0
Construction Contract $ 40,000
Construction Engineering /Testing /Contingency $ 8,000
Total $ 50,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction is to be accomplished by Contract in accordance
with RCW 36.77.020 et. seq.
