RESOLUTION NO 2012-022
AMENDING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 912001 AND AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL
FUNDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR "LAKE WHATCOM BOULEVARD
STRUCTURAL OVERLAY - LAKE LOUISE ROAD TO STRAWBERRY POINT."
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted "2012 Annual Construction Program"
as Item No. 9;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council that CRP No. 912001 is
formally amended to include the construction of Lake Whatcom Boulevard - Lake Louise Road to
Strawberry Point. The Contract for this project is awarded to Whatcom Builders Inc. in the amount of
their bid of $865,752.00
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget and based on the County Engineer's
estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:
PURPOSE AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION
Preliminary Engineering $ 65,000
Right-of-Way $ 0
Subtotal $ 65,000
Construction Contract $ 865,752
Construction Engineering /Testing /Contingency $ 30,000
Total $ 960,752
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the construction is to be accomplished by Contract in accordance
with RCW 36.77 .020 et. seq.
