RESOLUTION NO . 2012-019
RESOLUTION FOR AMENDING COUNTY ROAD PROJECT NO. 998001 AND AUTHORIZING
ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR "Yew St Road Phase II - Pedestrian
Actuated Crosswalk Signal."
WHEREAS, this project is included in the officially adopted 2010 Annual Construction Program as
Item No. 3 under Project Based Budget No. 2007-2;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Whatcom County Council:
That CRP No. 998001 is formally amended to include the construction of the "Yew St Road Phase
II - Pedestrian Actuated Crosswalk Signal."
The Contract for this project is awarded to Tiger Construction, LTD., in the amount of their
bid of $ 111 ,849.41 .
An appropriation from the officially adopted Road Fund Budget and based on the County
Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purposes shown:

Preliminary Engineering $55,000
Right-of-Way $5,700
Subtotal $ 60,700.00
Construction Contract $ 111 ,859.41
Construction Engineering / Testing / Contingency $ 15,000.00
Total $ 187,559.41
