The SR 542/SR 547 Kendall intersection has a history of collisions and has been identified by WSDOT as an
area that would benefit from safety improvements. As traffic in this area continues to grow, the conflicts and
merge issues that have made access difficult will only increase.
There are several alternatives to improve the intersection, which include a traffic signal, a non-signalized
intersection and roundabout options. The alternatives will be evaluated and developed to select the best
option for this location.
The project is scheduled for construction in summer 2016.
