2012 Project Budget Request #2 requests funding from the Civic Center Building Improvement Fund:
(1) To appropriate $204, 662 to fund additional costs of the Civic Center exterior repair project from a
Public Utility Improvement Fund transfer.

PROJECT BUDGET NO . 2 OF THE 2012 BUDGET
WHEREAS , Whatcom County previously appropriated $ 1 , 404 , 036 in Public Utilities
Improvement Fund funding in a project budget for the Civic Center exterior repairs project, and
WHEREAS , the bid came in over the estimated amount and the project requires additional
funding in order to move forward , and
WHEREAS , additional funding is available from the Public Utilities Improvement Fund , and
WHEREAS , Section 6 . 80 of the Whatcom County Home Rule Charter allows for project-
based capital budget appropriation ordinances that lapse when the project has been completed
or abandoned or when no expenditure or encumbrance has been made for three (3) years ,
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom. County Council that the following
additional capital budget appropriation is hereby approved :
