On July 23,2013,the Council adopted Ordinance 2013-043,establishing Lake Whatcom Watershed Overlay District,which amended certain sections
of the County Code and County Comprehensive Plan related to water quality and stormwater management in the Lake Whatcom watershed.

7 REPEALING ORDINANCE 2013-037, WHICH IMPOSED AN INTERIM
8 MORATORIUM ON THE ACCEPTANCE OF NEW APPLICATIONS FOR
9 DIVISIONS OF LAND RESULTING IN LOTS SMALLER THAN FIVE
10 ACRES WITHIN THE LAKE WHATCOM WATERSHED

13 WHEREAS, on July 9, 2013, the Whatcom County Council adopted Ordinance 2013-
14 037, continuing an interim moratorium on the acceptance of new applications for divisions
15 of land into lots smaller than five (5) acres in the Lake Whatcom Watershed until permanent
16 regulations to protect Lake Whatcom could be finalized and adopted; and
17
18 WHEREAS, on July 23, 2013, the Council adopted Ordinance 2013-043, establishing
19 Whatcom County Code Chapter 20.51, Lake Whatcom Watershed Overlay District, and
20 amending certain sections of the County Code and the County Comprehensive Plan related
21 to water quality and stormwater management in the Lake Whatcom Watershed; and
22
23 WHEREAS, with the adoption of Ordinance 2013-043, the interim moratorium
24 imposed by Ordinance 2013-037 is no longer necessary.

26 NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that
