To comply with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary to modify traffic control signs on
Airport Drive at the intersection of Airport Way.

ORDINANCE NO. 2014-049
INSTALLING STOP SIGNS ON AIRPORT DRIVE
WHEREAS, in compliance with RCW 46.61.200 and 47.36.110, it is found necessary and
expedient to install traffic control signs on certain County Roads, and
WHEREAS, a traffic study was conducted by the County Engineer's Office; and
WHEREAS, it is found necessary that the existing intersection of Airport Drive and
Airport Way be modified to an all-way stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Whatcom County Council that the following
be added to the Whatcom County Code Section 10.16 as follows:
Road Name Direction Cross Street
-Stopping
Airport Drive Eastbound Airport Way
Airport Drive Westbound Airport Way
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Engineer is hereby directed to install the
appropriate signs and that the Whatcom County Sheriff is notified by a copy of this ordinance.
